About Us
Hi, I’m Michelle. I’ve been an avid horse lover my whole life. Owning horses and competing for over 20 years, I have learned from some amazing mentors. I started riding in my teens showing and competing in the English discipline, specifically hunters. In my late teens I bought a young horse who was trained Western, but I was determined to turn him into an English horse. Well, he had other plans. After years of trying to force a situation, I learned a very important lesson in horsemanship, which was to always listen to the horse. I swallowed my pride and started taking western lessons and my horse was so much happier. I instantly fell in love with the western disciplines, showing mostly in western pleasure. I believe a strong foundation in horsemanship skills is crucial in becoming an educated, mindful and aware horsemen/women, no matter what discipline you ultimately want to advance in. I’m excited to share my knowledge with the next generation, along with the help of my 3 amazing equine teachers.
I’m the wife to, Randy, a.k.a our projects manager, maintenance man and hay supplier. He is the behind the scenes guy to making this place function. We have 4 children, Skyler, Layk, Bryer and Layne. I have my Bachelor’s degree in Biology and my Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology. I’m a New York State Licensed Veterinary Technician and love working in the field. Animal communication, husbandry, and the human animal bond are my top favorite subjects. Once you can effectively communicate with the horse, the rest falls into place.
